My View On Design.

I used to think that the purpose of design was to make everything beautiful, but it turns out, that's not really the case. The purpose of design is much more closely linked to strategy then aesthetics. Design is the process of intentionally creating something while simultaneously considering it's objective (purpose), function, economics, sociocultural factors, AND aesthetics. Sometimes design is ugly (intentionally), and sometimes it's beautiful, but when done well, it's always on purpose.

My Beliefs

Webdesign should be accessible.

Accessibility is trending, but must be the basis of design. Webdesign should be easily understood, navigated and the content should bring value to the visitor.

Design is only useful with a clear goal.

It’s a must for your business to have a clear goal. With that goal in mind we can align the design to achieve it. Without a clear goal, its art, not design.

Effective strategy

Strategy is the key to good design, without it there is no real point in having a design at all. Instead of wasting hours on work that is not effective, I aim to get the most value for my clients out of every working hour.

Speed and efficiency

There can be great opportunity cost when things are not handled within a timeframe. It’s one of the most important aspects of my work. Wasting your time is not part of it.
